Eng 112 Formal Assignment #2 Live health and happy Universal Health Care (UHC) was first started in Germany in the year 1883 and spread through other countries especially the rich countries of Europe. UHC is a term that is used to address a health care system which provides health care and financial protection to every citizen of a specific country. UHC is all about providing a specified health care package which will be of benefit to every member of the society with the aim of providing financial risk protection, improved health outcomes and improved access to health services. UHC is the type of health care plan where every member of the society can receive health coverage irrespective of their social status, income, age, gender, race, pre-existing condition or wealth. This means that as far as you are certified as a legal member of the region where universal health care is being practiced then you are eligible for universal health care. When we talk about universal health care we are referring to health care that’s paid for or subsidized by the government, which is also called single-payer health care system. There are many issues on American’s health care system regardless the fate of Obama Care which is also known as Affordable Care Act. UHC should be provide for all American citizens because it boost the economy and stops medical bankruptcies. UHC will boost the economy be people spending less money. On statista.com “On March 23, 2010, then-U.S. president Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. Some would say that this was one of the greatest moments in the history of U.S. health politics. A look at the situation before this law helps to understand why the Obama Administration – and many Americans citizens – thought this step to be inevitable.” (Laporte) At that time of 2010 fifty million people didn’t have health insurance. The US is last in healthcare among most developed countries. The uniton kingdom is number one in heath care. Providing one of the cheapest at 3,405 compared to our 8,508 a year.( mahon) UHC will raise the standard of living of every individual in the society which will lead to more economic productivity. A single-payer insurance agency will cut the cost per person will be less than half of the system we have now. “This will cut our country’s health care expenditure, now at $2 trillion, by more than $1 trillion/year.” (mohit) this stops the doctor from filling out billing forms and allows that to spend more time taking care of patients. UHC can put an end to medical bankruptcies. The main advantage of this type of health care is it gives people that can’t afford health care the services they need. This health care system allows basic health care services for all citizens and it doesn’t discriminate against anyone. It helps those that aren’t employed or have other difficulties get health care when they need it the most. One of the greatest advantage of UHC, every member of the society that practice this type of health plan can be able to access health care no matter his social status. Since no single human life is greater to another, the poor can be able to receive exactly the type of health care that could only be afforded by rich man under normal circumstances. This type of health care does not discriminate against anyone. It puts all the legal member of the society in the equal pedestal. The entire population spreads around the cost of the health care so everyone can at least get the basic care that they need. This type of health care will help to improve the health of general population, since every member of the society has an equal access to medical health care. Hence, it will lead to reduction in the amount of illness suffered by general population; create healthier people and increased productivity. Citizens can get free treatments for basic conditions without the fear of not being able to afford them. This can help reduce the spread of infectious diseases and other common health problems that people may ignore if they can’t afford health care. UHC leads to a socialism. The president candidate Bernie Sanders has been criticized that his UHC plan is such an un-fetched dream. To make this happen, he admitted that he would have to increase taxes to every citizen, which can plunge United States into a socialism state where government controls the distribution of goods and services. United States is currently practicing free market system where market forces determine the availability and cost of health care services and not the federal government. The introduction of UHC will lead to great distortion in the economy. “The cost of malpractice lawsuit can increase because the government controls it and expose the government to legal liability as well as a chance to sue somebody with a low budget will give more lawsuits.”( Post) It could be a first step towards government controlling other aspect of the economy. The UHC will reduce the amount of money doctors can make thereby reducing the attraction in the practice. This could create shortage of doctors in the long-run. Those with higher incomes may complain that their money is going to pay for the health care of other citizens when it should be going to pay for their own health care. The biggest argument against UHC is that it raises taxes. A single payer health care system causes an increase in taxes as the system needs to be paid for. “Universal health care also known as free health care is not actually free because the registered members must pay it using certain taxes.”(Post) The overall costs if the system can be draining on a country and causes large debts. The existing U.S government health care programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program is already putting a huge strain on public budget. Adding a UHC program to these would amount to enormous growth in government spending and debt. Governments aren’t that great at running large systems and the fact that the government runs health care can lead to a lot of problems. To run the health care system there may need to be cuts made in other areas of the government which weaken those areas to compensate for the need of the health care system. UHC is all about providing a specified health care package which will be of benefit to every member of the society with the aim of providing financial risk protection, improved health outcomes and improved access to health services. UHC will help the citizens become healthier, and ends to medical bankruptcies. UHC will raises the taxes and causes a socialism state. That felt good, I finally feel normal. I dug a grave and shoved him in by the time I was done in was dusk. I didn’t go home that night; the next morning I open the door to see a sobbing Cheryl. “Cheryl I’m leaving I can’t go back to the man before, when I killed him it felt good so good even now I get giddy just thinking about it goodbye .”I ignoring her cries and walking to the bedroom to pack. Weeks had gone by at the moment I was sitting on the side of the road bugging for some type of money or food. The people just kept walking not spearing me another glance. I guess no one will help, maybe that think I’m on drugs or something. I felt a pulse in my pants, it probably Cheryl calling she starting the get annoying with her calling me every day, I debating if I should answer or not. I think I should only to see an unknown number. I answer it “Price your country need you again” I am needed? In a flash I was back where I belong. The smell of dried blood, it being expected to see red. My troop and I were back up in charged operation to kill a group of people. The leader of the group looked like very tall and muscular, and wears a brown longcoat. He has silver hair and noticeable facial stubble. His name was Estarosa his has been selling weapons to our enemy’s. Minutes later there I was the only one left out of ten men. I’m corned by Estarosa. I pulled out by knife and lunged at him, somehow he easily disarmed and throw me. He advanced slowly picking up my knife. I backed further into the corner, trying to create distance between myself. Estarosa smiled, knowing that there was nothing he could do to change what would happen. He lunged forward, cutting me in the arm, i screamed in pain and darted to the left of him, tripping and falling to the floor. He lunged again, this time slicing my hand. Blood poured, spattering Estarosa face and chest. I moaned in agony, knowing the worst was yet to come. Estarosa stood over me, watching as tears met blood, creating small red designs on my face and neck. “your not worth my time men, finish him off but I want his eye out of his skull.”
Cheryl pov Everyone came. All of Price’s friends from the army. Minutes later a hearse and three limos arrived at the house. The family and friends filed into the vehicles while the drivers loaded the hearse with the numerous roses. Price loved roses; they were red, he loved anything red. The family and friends arrived at the funeral location where the service would take place. The atmosphere not only looked gloomy but felt gloomy. Everywhere I looked there were no smiles. After the prist said a few words, It was time for my Eulogy “Price was a first born and a beloved son and husband. There was no stopping him. I remember the first time I had meet him. He had just started his training for the army, i was sitting at the bar. He sat next to me and we started a chat. At first I payed him no mind only thinking that he’d be a great friend. After the night was over he had say for the phone number. A few days later I had gotten a call from him asking if id like to go on a date with him. from the way he talked I could tell he was nervous, I thought that was cute and said yes. On your first date I had tried not to stress out, and we explored our hobbies together. The first thing we did was hike during that I found out he’s: biggest influence in life was his father who died in world war I when he was a teen, when he asked me what is my Favorite movie of all time I had said cult of chucky. He laugh saying that he never expected that and he liked the unexpected. Those few words got me to think of him as more then a friend. One of the ways Price had my fall in love with him was his passion and love for animals found us in many interesting situations. One summer day, as sat outside enjoying the sun, came running with a dog he found. This was not just any dog; it was a pitiful, dirty mutt that was on his last leg. This lonely, shaggy stranger was wondering around our neighborhood in need of a home. He was eaten up with fleas and had some open wounds, but had love in his eyes. After months of dating we had moved in together. Price was not a perfectionist. His side of the room was always a mess. He always had his bag open with clothes on the floor everywhere. He could never “color inside the lines.” Years later he had got on one knee and proposed saying that ‘our smile to worth any pain and I’m going to protect it with my life’, our wedding was the best day of my life. My dress was a blood red modern short dress that was off the shoulder. The few things that will make me the saddest is he will never see his daughter first: steps, laugh, smile, date to be able to say ‘my little girl’.” Price had send me a letter a few weeks ago it reads I’m scared shitless right now I don’t want to turn back in to that guy I was. After the twenty-one gun shots and I got the flag I left for the limo. That felt good, I finally feel normal. I dug a grave and shoved him in by the time I was done in was dusk. Cheryl pov Everyone came. Everyone, including miku, Price’s very distance sister. she moved across the country to get away from the fighting, for five years to be exact, but it wasn’t until today that she decided to visit. Sadly this is the day of Price’s funeral. Minutes later a hearse and three limos arrived at the house. The family and friends filed into the vehicles while the drivers loaded the hearse with the numerous roses. Price loved roses; they were red, she loved anything red. The family and friends arrived at the funeral location where the service would take place. The atmosphere not only looked gloomy but felt gloomy, even for miku. Everywhere I looked there were no smiles. Even the seats weren’t very comfortable. Miku had to re-position his rear end a few times before she could sit properly. And to top it all off, the chairs were Price’s favorite color: red. A blood stained red. It was a sunny day, with birds chirping and flowers blooming. Besides, all of Price’s former high school classmates and cousins came to the funeral, making the air a little too stuffy. I decided not to see Price’s one last time. My sadness for him was well known. The casket was closed, and pallbearers carried it on their shoulder to the hearse. Friends and family followed. I reluctantly joined them. As the casket lowered into the ground, many tears were shed. I never even had a tear shed. For as long as I can remember, the idea of death has never really affected me. It always occurred to me as the end stage of a person’s life and just that. Hearing my parents discuss and grieve over the loss of their friend was the closest funeral that I ever attended to as a child. I adopted this attitude over the years until I attended my husbands’ funeral. This was the first official funeral that I went to and it changed my scope on life completely. Everything about that day was depressing, but it wasn’t normal depressing. This depressing was completely different; it was a feeling I couldn’t describe. The entire melancholic atmosphere directly affected me from all the black clothes to the tears from the immediate family. I tried to retain my tears as I constantly told myself that “I would not cry.” I was successful until I glanced at the other soldiers, and saw tears pouring out of their eyes. Suddenly, I couldn’t hold it back and I just let it all out. I lost somebody so close to me and it was overbearing. As they lowered my husband’s coffin, I realized that I would never see him again. This was it; this was the last time I would ever see him again. After the event was over, my perspective on life shifted completely. I realized that I took not only my life for granted, but also the lives of those important to me. Death was not just an end stage of a person; it goes beyond the boundaries of one’s life. It affects and haunts all those who are both directly and indirectly associated with the person. Although I hate funerals, I am actually proud to say that this event helped me grow up. As of that moment I am done crying its not good for our baby. It was time for my Eulogy “Price was a first born and a beloved son and husband. There was no stopping him. His passion and love for animals found us in many interesting situations. One summer day, as sat outside enjoying the sun, came running with a dog she found. He was eaten up with fleas and had some open wounds, but had love in his eyes. Price was not a perfectionist. His side of the room was always a mess. What I will remember most about Price is his sense of humor. he had the ability to brighten a room and make anyone laugh. The few things that will make me the saddest is he will never see his daughter first: steps, laugh, smile, date to be able to say ‘my little girl’. Price had send me a letter a few weeks ago it reads im scared shitless right now I don’t want to turn back in to that guy I was. After the twenty one gun shots and I got the flag I left for the limo. my favorite genre is to enertain. i love reading about werewolves. i have always daydreamed or a fan fintion about my favorite anime. i have stories of nanatsu no taizai based on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. With their help, she endeavors to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights, but to also seek justice in an unjust world. In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the "Seven Deadly Sins," were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.
what i would have liked is to write about berserk. there is three parts:
part one Guts, a mercenary, attracts the attention of the Band of the Hawk and is forced into joining the group after being defeated by its leader Griffith twice. Once the Hawks defeated the kingdom of Chuder's Black Ram Iron Lance Cavalry, they are recruited by Midland for its war against the rival kingdom. In time, Griffith's gradual rise in status is ill-received by the noblemen, and a failed assassination attempt by the king's brother Yurius results in his murder by Guts, who was also forced to kill the noble's son Adonis to leave no witnesses. Guts, emotionally scarred by what he has done, would later hear Griffith discussing his idea of friendship with the Midland Princess Charlotte and is further unsettled to find he and the other Hawks are a means to their leader's end. part two For three years, Guts believed his mission was to pursue Griffith's dream together with him. But after coming to understand Griffith's outlook, Guts realises that he would need to leave the Band of the Hawk to be considered Griffith's equal and truly be called his friend. After forming a bond with Casca while they are separated from the others, Guts and the Hawks take part in a bloody battle to capture the impenetrable Fortress of Doldrey from the Chuder Empire's army of 30,000 strong defenders. A month after capturing the fortress and winning the war, Guts parts ways with Griffith after defeating him in a duel. Griffith does not take his former ally's departure well, and in a lapse of judgment he is caught sleeping with the king's daughter, Charlotte. Charged with treason for his actions, Griffith is imprisoned in the Tower of Rebirth while the members of the Band of the Hawk are branded criminals. was it gut's the reason for Griffith actions? was it right for silver Hawk to be punished because of Griffith? we watched "where to invade next" for the research paper. where to show what the USA can learn from rest of the world, director Michael Moore playfully visits various nations in Europe and Africa as a one-man "invader" to take their ideas and practices for America. Whether it is Italy with its generous vacation time allotments, France with its gourmet school lunches, Germany with its industrial policy, Norway and its prison system, Tunisia and its strongly progressive women's policy, or Iceland and its strong female presence in government and business among others, Michael Moore discovers there is much that American should emulate. In my paper i had wrote about the pros and cons of universal health care. i was really glad that there was time to do it in class cause i hate research papers. i mostly did my research over the last two day.
Universal Health Care (UHC) was first started in Germany in the year 1883 and spread through other countries especially the rich countries of Europe. UHC is a term that is used to address a health care system which provides health care and financial protection to every citizen of a specific country. UHC is all about providing a specified health care package which will be of benefit to every member of the society with the aim of providing financial risk protection, improved health outcomes and improved access to health services. Universal healthcare is the type of health care plan where every member of the society can receive health coverage irrespective of their social status, income, age, gender, race, pre-existing condition or wealth. UHC should be provide for all American citizens because it a human right, it boost the economy and stops medical bankruptcies.
President Obama of the United States delivered his last state of the union speech in December 2015 and mentioned that the United States is the most powerful nation in the world and the state of the union is strong. If that’s the case, I don’t see any reason why the government can’t provide UHC to its citizens. If some Asian countries like Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea can do that, why can’t US? Other than the efficiency of the government running universal health care, I think the other reason is most Americans don’t think health care is not supposed to be the responsibility of the government. UHC also draws it support from the United Nations Declaration made on Dec.10, 1948 which stated that “everyone has the right to a standard of living proper for the health and well-being of the individual and his family, which includes medical care”. Again in 2005, the United States and World Health Organization members further throw their support for UHC with the signing of the World Health Assembly resolution 58.33 which said that every member of the society should have access to health care services without facing financial hardship when seeking for health care. UHC will encourage entrepreneurship according to the projection made by Kauffman-RAND Institute for Entrepreneurship Public Policy. Most individuals stay away from starting their own business due to fear of losing health care insurance or they enjoy their current employer. With UHC in place, self-employment in United State could increase by 2 to 3.5%. Without a doubt, people work more when they live healthier lives which allow them to contribute as much they can to the nation’s economy. UHC will raise the standard of living of every individual in the society which will lead to more economic productivity. As of 2011, about 59.5% of Americans were enjoying health insurance through their employer in the private sector. The high cost that is associated with paying employee’s health insurance put U.S private businesses in competitive disadvantage in the international marketplace. Hence with UHC, private businesses can free up the fund use for health insurance for investment in other areas of their business. This could reduce employer labor cost by more than 12%. UHC can put an end to medical bankruptcies. In 2007, about 62% of all United States bankruptcies in one or another were related to medical expenses even for those with health insurance. With UHC, medical bankruptcy will be a thing of the past leading to a healthier and richer nation. The main advantage of this type of health care is it gives people that can’t afford health care the services they need. This health care system allows basic health are services for all citizens and it doesn’t discriminate against anyone. It helps those that aren’t employed or have other difficulties get health care when they need it the most. One of the greatest advantage of UHC, every member of the society that practice this type of health plan can be able to access health care no matter his social status. Those with higher incomes may complain that their money is going to pay for the health care of other citizens when it should be going to pay for their own health care. This is probably the biggest argument against universal health care. A single payer health care system causes an increase in taxes as the system needs to be paid for.
